Spend some time discussing your
corporate culture
Corporate culture is hard to control, which is why
many leaders deliberately avoid creating it. But you can't let culture happen.
In fact, companies should regard corporate culture as the general importance of
innovation, corporate strategy and business model.
In order to understand cultural design more
systematically, you need to have a difficult dialogue about your current
culture and your ideal culture. Then you can tie the two together. The focus of
these discussions is on three elements:
- The end. What you want (don't want) is achieved by your culture.
- Behavior. The tangible part of your culture; positive or negative actors make daily outcomes.
- Find the impetus and obstacle factors. For example, formal or informal policies, rituals, actions and rules that block your culture are the elements that really help you achieve your ideal culture.
