You have to be 10 times better than your opponent
  • Failure is very important. Everyone can learn a lot from it. But if the outcome of a risk failure means that you will be punished, then people will not try. So we should create a culture, an environment where risk taking is respected and encouraged.
  • Most of the good ideas come from founders trying to solve their own problems - Brin and Page originally created Google because the search engine on the market was inaccurate; Mark Zuckerberg created Facebook because Harvard had no student address book; Jack Dorsey created Twitter because it was easier to send group newsletters.
  • You have to try to create a product 10 times stronger than your competitors, not because you really have to be 10 times stronger than them, and don't forget that they are also improving, so in the end you may be three times stronger than them, so you have a chance to win. "Really, if you've tried to convince customers that you're 50% better than your competitors, you know how important it is to be three times stronger.
  • Too many entrepreneurs put their minds on such things as "company ownership", "control" and "more than half". We should know that entrepreneurship is a "0 and 1" world - you either have nothing, or you are a great success. So it's much more important to surround yourself with people who will help you succeed than to focus on those few percent.
