許多企管顧問一上課,就會引用一些其他公司的案例,無論是成功的,或是失敗的。而許多公司也會設法研究一些歷史案例,希望從中找到制定新策略的參考。
然而,企業在引用這些歷史教訓時,要保持警惕。一方面,若是失敗的案例,很少能夠指出成功的途徑。其次,即使是成功的典範,通常也是有其獨特的環境與條件,而很難為我們所複製。
我們真正應該學習的,是他們在發展的過程中,如何發現機會與問題,如何克服困難,如何修正,以及如何獲得回饋。
學習他們解決問題的企圖心與智慧。

Many business management consultants cite cases from other companies, whether successful or unsuccessful. And many companies will also try to study some historical cases, hoping to find a reference for formulating new strategies.
However, enterprises should be vigilant when quoting these historical lessons. On the one hand, if there is a case of failure, it is seldom possible to point out the way to success. Secondly, even successful models usually have their own unique environment and conditions, which are difficult to replicate for us.
What we really should learn is how to find opportunities and problems, how to overcome difficulties, how to correct them and how to get feedback in the process of development.
Learn their ambition and wisdom to solve problems.
